Try a little harder, IRFU

'Try a little harder, IRFU'

Galway Chamber of Commerce and Industy calls on the IRFU to 'try a little harder' to sort out its financial crisis instead of targeting the soft option of closing down Connacht Rugby.

Michael Coyle, Chamber CEO stated: 'Chamber Members are incensed that, once again, the West is being treated like a Cinderella region by Dublin.

'Connacht Rugby has a proud tradition and has been strongly supported by the business community over the years. It is extremely unfortunate that at a time when Connacht Rugby is on the rise, particularly at school and college level, that the IRFU seem intent on pulling the plug.

'Try a little harder IRFU is the message from Galway Chamber. We urge our members and the entire business community to send messages of support for Connacht Rugby to info@galwaychamber.com.
