Fatal road traffic accident on the Headford RoadFatal road traffic accident on the Headford RoadGardaí in Galway are investigating a fatal accident which happened at Grange, Corrandulla, Co. Galway at approximately 16:25 today (Thursday 29 May) A 12 year old boy who was cycling towards Galway on the Headford Road was struck by a truck and received fatal injuries. The driver of the truck was also injured when his truck overturned as he tried to avoid the cyclist, he is being treated in University College Hospital Galway, his injuries are not life threatening.
