Galway County Council - Heritage Plan for County GalwayGalway County Council - Heritage Plan for County GalwayGalway County Council is facilitating the development of a five-year Heritage Plan, which aims to identify, protect, and conserve the heritage of County Galway. A fundamental objective of the Heritage Plan is to increase awareness, appreciation and enjoyment of the built, natural and cultural heritage of the County. Consultation evenings will be held, with a view to involving the public in the development of the Heritage Plan. Interested parties are invited to participate in the consultation process and to avail of the opportunity of identifying heritage issues and needs at local level which can be addressed through the Heritage Plan process. Written submissions may be made by 4pm on Friday 16th May 2003 to Marie Mannion, Heritage Officer, Forward Planning, Galway County Council, Prospect Hill, Galway or e-mailed to: mmannion@galwaycoco.ie. Consultations will be held in the following venues: Wednesday 30th April 2003 8pm Irish Wheelchair Centre, The Glebe, Dublin Road,Tuam, Co. Galway.
