Drama Workshops in aid of Croí

Drama Workshops in aid of Croí

Galway woman and drama practitioner, Aoife Connolly, who is undertaking a trekking challenge in Kenya this November to raise funds for local heart charity CROÍ, has come up with a creative concept to raise her sponsorship target. Starting on Thursday July 3rd and running through Sunday July 6th, Aoife who hails from Knocknacarra and is the resident drama teacher at six different Dublin schools will be giving a series of Drama Workshops in Galway City.

The workshops are great for developing imagination, creativity and awareness skills through improvisation, mime and movement exercises, Aoife explains. My main objective is that each participant enjoys themselves and that their work is valued in the group.

Aoifes acting experience includes a lead role in TG4s Fear an Phoist, along with various theatre roles, which she juggles successfully with her teaching of drama at primary and secondary school level. She is hoping to raise the majority of her sponsorship target through her work; and is extending an invitation to anyone who has an interest in performance be they adults or children to attend one of the forthcoming workshops, where the emphasis will be on fun!

To reserve a place for yourself, or for the favourite children in your life, at one of the July workshops, call Aoife on (087) 6731 479.
