"My search for a sweater ended back in Kilronan at a small thatched cottage shop called An Púcán" - Bob Ryan on "Elements of Style" GQ February 1991Our traditional Aran sweaters are hand-knitted by women in their own homes. Many of these women have their own distinctive family patterns which include cable, diamond, honeycomb, tree of life and blackberry. We use only top grade 100% pure wool, this combined with the expertise of the knitters produces top quality sweaters that carry the "An Púcán " label.
Our selection of knitwear includes pullovers, cardigans, vests (gilets/waistcoats), scarves, caps, mitts, gloves, socks and a range of children's wear. Prices for sweaters vary according to size and style.

open to visitors all year round. We are a short distance from the main road
so if you happen to visit Aran be sure to ask your driver to let you off at
Watty's Pub.

The sweaters are sold in our two family craft shops (Kilronan near Watty's pub and Kilmurvey near Dún Aengus). Our new shop at the foot of Dún Aengus, in the village of Kilmurvey is a recent addition to the family business due to the increase in demand for An Púcán knitwear. |
