Galway Arts Centre. Lady Augusta Gregory was born on 15 March, 150 years ago.
This celebration of the great Patroness of the Arts and key Galway figure
evokes her pioneering spirit, with young artists who interpret her heritage,
as well as showcase and celebrate artifacts from her life that have become
part of the vernacular in Irish life. Portraits of those who featured in
Lady Gregory's life such as Yeats, Synge, AE and others will also be
included in this birthday exhibition. Opening Friday 15 March, 6pm.

Our walk skirts around hundreds glacially scarred islands and lakes, rare flora and wild fowl. We explore the ruins of the Marconi Transatlantic Radio Station and visit Alcock and Brown’s landing site, who were among the first to appreciate the importance of a soft piece of Connemara Bog !
