RugbyRugby is played in the four provinces of Ireland. It's a game about which its followers are passionate. Rugby weekends in Dublin before a Triple Crown game in Lansdowne Road are among the highlight of the city's social calendar. There's a strong proud tradition of playing rugby in Connacht. The game has been played in the West of Ireland almost as long as the game has been in existence. The Rugby season takes place between mid-September and mid-April every year. Its worth seeing a game particularly an inter-provinicial if you get the chance. The premier competition within the province is the Connacht Senior Cup. |
