Salthill Air ShowSunday 26th June
The Salthill Air Show is one of the few free Air Shows in Europe and is held every year along the Salthill Promenade on the shores of Galway Bay. Up to 100,000 people have lined the Salthill promenade in years gone by and this years promises to draw the same numbers This year the only professional wingwalking team in Europe, will be one of the main attractions to be flying into Salthill Airshow. Slicing through the sky at 150mph, the daring wingwalkers will wave to the Salthill crowd from the top wing of their 1940's Boeing Stearman biplanes. The wingwalkers will perform handstands, a sequence of loops, rolls and turns. For the final flypast they will un-strap themselves from their harness's on the top wing and make their way to a position halfway between the wing and cockpit! Expect to see aircrafts from the UK, Germany, the U.S and Ireland http://www.salthillairshow.comSalthill Airshow 2003 Photo Gallery |
