Baboró - International Arts Festival for Children

Today, Baboró International Arts Festival for Children is recognised as the leading Irish Arts Festival devoted exclusively to children, with over 40,000 children having attended shows and participated in workshops since 1997. This year, Baboró is set to entertain over 10,000 children during the one-week Festival. This year, Baboró will present eleven companies from Switzerland, South Africa, Australia, Scotland, UK and Ireland, which together will offer 60 performances ranging from puppetry, music, theatre, storytelling and juggling. Baboró also brings around 64 of the highest calibre workshops to youth groups in Galway city and county - working with them in their own communities. Baboró have been particularly successful working with teachers and marginalized children in this way.
