The centre was built on the site of an old timber yard in an effort to breath life into the city. And it was an undoubtable success. The design has been approved by the Irish Wheelchair Association for meeting the needs of people with disabilities. The Centre has acted as a venue for world class events such as the World Press Photo Exhibition, the European Lego Exhibition and the Festival of the sea. There is also a lot to offer children with animated entertainment at Christmas and exhibitions such as the Meccano exhibition. Opening hours: 9am to 6.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. On Thursdays and Fridays it opens form 9am to 9pm. Also Sunday opening during November and December. |
