Galway is blessed with water. The Atlantic touches the Western end of the City Centre while the river Corrib flows through Galway.

What better place to enjoy water sports but in Galway. From river swimming to sea-diving and windsurfing, from the majestic Ocean to the gentler Corrib making its way seawards Galway is the place to swim and participate in watersports.

There are a number of swimming clubs in the city. If you wish you can have swimming lessons as gaeilge - in the Irish language. I don't think it makes it easier to learn the skill but its certain to improve your command of our national language.
