Book shops

Charlie Byrne's Bookshop
Charlie Byrne's Bookshop

Galway city has a treasure trove of book stores, and book lovers will be delighted with the fine range on offer. Possibly the most famous of these bookshops is Kennys which stocks hundreds of thousands of volumes, with a particular emphasis on rare books. This bookshop provides a unique personal service and one of the easiest things in the world is to while away an afternoon browsing the shelves at Kenny's.

Other bookshops in the city provide a wide range of reading material, ranging from the mainstream (Easons) to one of the best second hand bookstores in Ireland: Charlie Byrnes in Middle Street.

A complete list of bookshops in Galway is located in our shopping section.
