Laundry

Laundrettes and a laundry shop are frequently mixed up. The difference is as follows. A laundry shop is where you go to get your dry-cleaning taken care of.

In contrast to this a laundrette is where you wash and dry your clothes. There is usually the option of doing it yourself or paying some extra money and having someone else look after it for you. Laundrettes have become very social places of late, almost trendy in some ways. You can sit down have a coffee and a chat while you watch your clothes spin around and around. Mind you don't get dizzy!

An Ironing service is also available in Galway so there's no excuse for dragging along even your compact travel-iron. Just leave it at home, call into the ironing service and have someone else take care of it.
